Audio podcast: The unending trauma of an acid attack

India has the dubious distinction of recording the most number of acid attacks in the world – 1,483 victims between 2014 and 2018. Despite stricter laws and harsher punishments, the number of such attacks continues to increase. Daulat Bi Khan, an acid attack survivor herself, launched a foundation to help others like her and is now fighting to ensure they get medical treatment, counselling and education. She speaks to All Indians Matter about her battle with pain, trauma and the fight for justice she undertook for herself and other survivors.
