AI is transforming businesses, governance and jobs. However, as it becomes ubiquitous, it also raises privacy concerns. India has more than 700 million internet users and generates vast amounts of personal data every day, which makes for a lucrative target for cybercriminals. Sadly, data breaches are becoming common. Lack of awareness compounds the problem – many, particularly in rural areas, are unaware of digital privacy risks.
